Approximately 4 inches of light fluffy lake effect snow fell today in the Marquette city limits, which was nice, but not much snow fell to the west. Will wait to see what the status is after tonight in terms of if there was enough snow for classic track to be set out of the NTN Forestville Trailhead. Up until today there was not enough snow to set new tracks. The potential for any more snow between today and the weekend is very minimal. Temperatures will warm slightly Thursday and into the weekend but will still be seasonable and good for continued ice development on water crossings. Our attention now turns to the extended forecast as there appears to be a clipper system that will arrive Sunday or Monday which could bring a chance for widespread snow. It’s still too far out for the forecasters to guess at snow potential so we’ll just be keeping our fingers crossed that it will come with significant amounts! More updates to come as that begins to take shape.
