NSM Course Update: It has been a fantastic ski season so far with 10 full weeks of great skiing.  Overall, snowfall is currently less than we normally get, but the skiing has still been great.  Our race course is in ideal condition from the Dead River Basin down to Forestville and is ready for a […]

One edit to yesterday’s trail report – head NTN groomer Andy checked the lower ponds (at 5K) and indicates they are not safe to cross.  If skiing in the area we recommend that you should not try to cross those bodies of water at this time.  You’ll note the section of ski trail down to […]

Happy New Year from the race committee! Current trail conditions are quite good with solid coverage throughout the entire marathon course and we’re feeling great about where things are at right now.  Ice conditions on the water crossings are also good at this time although the lower pond crossings in the final 5K have not […]

Skiing has been relatively good from the NTN Forestville Trailhead and the trails have held remarkably well after the extended thaw and now cooler dry period.  The base was prepped well and it’s gotten us through with good skating at least – we’ll need some good new snow before classic tracks return to really good […]

We have made a number of course improvements over the past few years and we think you are going to be very pleased in the shape of the course this year. Mother Nature has blessed us with a good amount of snow with solid […]
