Event Announcements and Reminders – Friday, January 27th 2017
Race registration, race packet and bib pick-up, and ski expo will be from 5:30 pm until 10:00 pm tonight at the NMU Superior Dome Please bring ID to packet pick-up. All skiers will need to sign a waiver at bib pick up.
Full details on race changes and bus schedules will be available at the Expo. We want all to be informed. Please bring your questions.
Reminder – race confirmation can be done by checking the start list located on the registration page (www.noquemanon.com)
PLEASE NOTE: Forestville road is very icy – this is the road to the Forestville Trail Head (Finish line). Cars without 4WD are having great difficulty on this road. For the safety of all participants, and due to the limited parking at Forestville please avoid this road on Saturday. If you become stuck, you WILL block the entire road which will not allow buses with race participants and emergency personnel space to move through. PLEASE choose to join your family and friends at the Superior Dome and avoid the Forestville area. You can track your skiers/15mile snowshoers by signing up for text alerts at live.superiortiming.com and results will be available at the Superior Dome. We will have road control at the railroad tracks on Forestville Road stopping cars on Saturday (adaptive skiers and guides will be allowed through). If you drive to the Forestville Trailhead on Saturday you may be turned away at the railroad tracks if conditions and space warrants it. You will need to follow instructions. We will have busing for participants to transport them from the finish line to the Superior Dome and move them off course as quickly and efficiently as possible so you will not need to pick up your racer. We will have extra hands on deck at the finish line to help guide participants to the buses. Participant drop bags will be available at the Superior Dome NOT at the Forestville Trailhead finish line. This is why it will be important to move to the buses quickly and efficiently.
Busing to the start line of all Saturday races (Adaptive Ski is a Forestville start and finish..no busing to start) is absolutely MANDATORY. There is NO PARKING on CR 510. Busing is for racers only at this time.
Junior Noque skiers and families will be at Forestville tonight…the road is being sanded now. Please Drive SLOWLY.
